Trip Overview

The North ABC Trek takes you to the northern side of the Annapurna range in Myagdi district. This less crowded route offers a different view of Annapurna I and the surrounding mountains.

The trail passes through Narchyang, forests, remote mountain landscapes, Panchakunda Lake, and high Himalayan terrain before reaching Annapurna North Base Camp at around 4,190 meters. The route is also connected with the historic Maurice Herzog Trail, linked to the first successful ascent of Annapurna I in 1950.

Unlike the popular Annapurna Base Camp route from the south, the North ABC route is more remote. The upper section has limited facilities so you may need camping and temporary shelters, depending on the itinerary and season.
