Detailed Daily Itinerary

Total 12 Days Itinerary · Click any day to view details & day highlights

Your Everest Base Camp journey starts with an exciting flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The short flight offers beautiful views of the hills and Himalayan landscapes as the aircraft approaches Lukla's small mountain airstrip. During the busy trekking season, flights may operate from Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu, depending on flight operations and airport conditions.

After landing at Lukla, you meet your trekking guide and begin walking towards Phakding. The trail passes through small mountain settlements, green forests, stone houses, and farming areas. You will cross small suspension bridges and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi River. The first day is relatively short, giving you enough time to enjoy the surroundings without rushing. After reaching Phakding, you check into a simple mountain lodge and rest for the evening.
