Trip Briefing

Your Everest Base Camp adventure begins in Kathmandu with your arrival, hotel transfer, trek preparation, and a briefing about the journey ahead. The following morning, you fly toward Lukla and begin walking through the lower Khumbu Valley. The trail gradually follows the Dudh Koshi River toward Namche Bazaar, the main trading and trekking center of the Everest region. You will spend an acclimatization day in Namche before continuing toward Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and the high-altitude settlements closer to Everest Base Camp.

The highest part of the trek begins after Lobuche as you walk toward Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp. After reaching Base Camp, you return to Gorak Shep and rise early the next morning for the climb to Kala Patthar. From there, the trail gradually descends through Pheriche and Namche Bazaar before reaching Phakding and Lukla. The return flight brings you back toward Kathmandu, where you spend your final night before departure. Flight schedules can sometimes change because of weather and airport conditions, so some flexibility is important when planning this trek.
