Trip Overview

The Nar Phu Valley Trek – 12 Days is a beautiful and adventurous journey into one of the most remote parts of the Annapurna region. This trek takes you away from the busy trekking routes and into the hidden Nar Phu Valley, where ancient villages, high mountains, deep valleys, Buddhist culture, and peaceful landscapes create a unique Himalayan experience.

The Nar Phu Valley lies north of the Annapurna range and close to the Tibetan border. The valley remained restricted to visitors for many years. Today, trekkers can explore this special region with the required permits and a registered trekking agency.

The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani, then continues to Koto, the main entry point for the Nar Phu Valley. From Koto, the trail follows a narrow valley through forests, cliffs, rivers, and traditional settlements before reaching Meta and Phu Village.

After exploring Phu, the trek continues toward Nar Phedi and Nar Village. The biggest challenge comes on the way from Nar Village to Ngawal, crossing the famous Kang La Pass at around 5,320 meters. From the pass, trekkers can enjoy wide views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, and surrounding Himalayan peaks.

With Universe Himalayan Treks, trekkers can enjoy the journey with a planned itinerary, experienced trekking staff, required permits, accommodation, meals, and transportation arrangements. This trek is ideal for travelers seeking a remote Himalayan adventure, cultural immersion, and challenging high-altitude walking.
