Trip Overview

Langtang Valley Trek is one of the most beautiful short treks in Nepal. It takes you through green forests, quiet mountain villages, high alpine landscapes, and stunning Himalayan views. The trail lies north of Kathmandu and offers a great mix of nature, culture, and mountain adventure.

The trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. From there, you walk through rhododendron and bamboo forests, pass traditional Tamang villages, and follow the Langtang River toward the high mountains.

Kyanjin Gompa is the main highlight of the trek. From here, you can enjoy close views of Langtang Lirung, Langtang II, Yala Peak, Dorje Lakpa, and other surrounding peaks. You can also hike to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri for even wider mountain views.

Langtang Valley Trek is suitable for travelers who want a Himalayan trekking experience without spending many weeks on the trail. It also provides a chance to experience the warm culture and lifestyle of the local Tamang people.
