Trip Overview

The Pikey Peak Trek is a beautiful, short trek in Nepal's lower Everest region. It is a great choice for travelers who want Himalayan views, peaceful trails, Sherpa culture, and mountain villages without spending many days on a high-altitude trek.

Pikey Peak stands at around 4,065 meters and is famous for its wide mountain views, especially during sunrise and sunset. From the viewpoint, trekkers can see several Himalayan peaks on clear days, including Mount Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and other mountains of the eastern Himalayas.

The trek starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhap. From Dhap, the trail passes through Jhapre, Pikey Base Camp, Pikey Peak, Lamjura, and Junbesi before reaching the Phaplu area. The route combines forest trails, open ridges, traditional villages, monasteries, and beautiful Himalayan landscapes.

Unlike some of the busy trekking routes in the Everest region, the Pikey Peak route is generally quieter. You can walk through peaceful pine and rhododendron forests, meet local Sherpa communities, and experience the Solukhumbu region's traditional lifestyle.

Universe Himalayan Treks arranges the trek with experienced guides, accommodation, meals, transportation, permits, and necessary trekking support. The itinerary is designed to provide a comfortable pace while allowing enough time to enjoy the scenery and local culture.
