Trip Overview

Manaslu Trek is one of the best choices for trekkers who want to experience the remote side of the Nepal Himalayas. The trail goes around Mount Manaslu (8,163 m), the eighth-highest mountain in the world. During the trek, you walk through green forests, river valleys, small mountain villages, Buddhist monasteries, and high mountain landscapes.

The trek follows the Budhi Gandaki Valley and gradually takes you into the higher Manaslu region. You will spend time in villages such as Namrung, Lho, Samagaon, and Samdo, where you can see the local lifestyle and Tibetan-influenced culture. One of the main attractions of the trek is crossing Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters.

This 18-day itinerary includes acclimatization days at Samagaon and Samdo, giving you time to adjust to the higher altitude. After crossing Larkya La, the trail descends to Bimthang and Dharapani before returning to Kathmandu.
